The bill authorizes the Board of Supervisors of DeSoto County, Mississippi, to purchase radar speed detection equipment for the sheriff's department to enforce speed limits on county roads and state highways outside of incorporated municipalities. Any funds received from citations issued for speeding violations detected by the radar equipment must be used to fund school resource officers in DeSoto County public schools. The act takes effect upon passage.
