Expands Medicaid eligibility under the Affordable Care Act to include certain low-income individuals.

The bill amends the Mississippi Medicaid program to expand eligibility under the federal Affordable Care Act. It includes coverage for individuals under 65 years of age, not pregnant, not entitled to Medicare benefits, and with income not exceeding 133% of the federal poverty level. The Division of Medicaid determines eligibility for these individuals. The act also provides up to 12 months of continuous postpartum coverage for pregnant women qualifying under Medicaid. The changes take effect from July 1, 2026.
