Mississippi HB4059 amends the 2022 Local and Private Laws to extend the repeal date of a restaurant tax in Fulton from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2036. The tax, which is not to exceed three percent of the gross proceeds of restaurant sales, is levied on caterers, concession stands, hotel and motel dining rooms, convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, and similar businesses. The tax proceeds are to be used for tourism and parks and recreation within the city.
