Mississippi HB4034 provides Greenwood with $2 million from the State General Fund to acquire essential municipal vehicles and reduce existing debt. The funds will cover patrol and supervisory vehicles for the Police Department, fire engines and support vehicles for the Fire Department, dump trucks and utility vehicles for the Public Works Department, and vacuum trucks and maintenance vehicles for the Wastewater Treatment Division. Additionally, $1 million will be used to retire or reduce existing bonds and loans incurred for vehicle acquisition and maintenance.
