Mississippi HB33 would authorize online voter registration for first-time voters.

Mississippi HB33 would amend the Mississippi Code to authorize online voter registration for first-time voters. Eligible applicants must have a current and valid Mississippi driver's license or photo identification card issued by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. The Secretary of State would establish a secure Internet website for submitting voter registration applications. The county registrar would review the application and enter the voter registration information into the Statewide Elections Management System.
