Mississippi HB2 allocates $7,500,000 from the State General Fund to the Department of Human Services for statewide youth diversion programs. It also provides $12,000,000 from the Capital Expense Fund for renovations and expansions at the Oakley Youth Development Center. Additionally, the bill allocates $10,000,000 from the Capital Expense Fund to the Department of Public Safety for acquiring, renovating, leasing, planning, and designing new secured youth detention facilities in North and South Mississippi.
