Mississippi House Bill 1978 authorizes the issuance of state general obligation bonds to provide funds to Calhoun County, Mississippi, for repairing and paving County Roads 308 and 409. The proceeds from the bond sale will be deposited into a special fund called the "2026 Calhoun County - County Roads 308 and 409 Fund." The State Bond Commission will act as the issuing agent for the bonds, which will mature no later than July 1, 2030. The bonds will be exempt from all state taxes and will be legal investments for trustees and other fiduciaries.
