Mississippi House Bill 1841 authorizes the issuance of state general obligation bonds to fund the acquisition, removal, and demolition of blighted properties in Hinds County. The proceeds from these bonds will be deposited into the "2026 Hinds County Blighted Properties Fund" within the State Treasury. The fund will be used to cover costs related to these projects. The bonds will be exempt from all state taxes, and the State Bond Commission will act as the issuing agent. The total amount of bonds issued under this act cannot exceed $350,000 and must be issued before July 1, 2030.
