Extends the repealer on the requirement for a law enforcement interaction plan for fully autonomous vehicles in Mississippi.

Mississippi HB1770 extends the repealer on the requirement that a person submit a law enforcement interaction plan to the Department of Public Safety before operating a fully autonomous vehicle on public roads. The repealer, originally set to take effect on July 1, 2029, will now be delayed. The plan must describe communication methods with a fleet support specialist, safe removal and towing procedures, recognition of autonomous mode, and any additional safety information. Failure to submit the plan can result in a cease-and-desist order from the Department of Public Safety.
