Mississippi HB1694 amends the composition of the Inmate Welfare Fund Committee to include the Chairpersons of the House and Senate Corrections Committees and the Chairpersons of the House and Senate Accountability, Efficiency and Transparency Committees. The bill also increases the percentage of inmate telephone call commissions deposited into the Inmate Welfare Fund from 25% to 75% starting July 1, 2026.
