Mississippi HB1550 authorizes the State Department of Health to establish a voluntary statewide bleeding control program. This program encourages state agencies, counties, municipalities, public school districts, community college districts, and state institutions of higher learning to place bleeding control kits in public buildings, schools, and other high-traffic public locations. The bill also encourages these entities to offer Stop the Bleed training to employees, students, and members of the public.
