Allows anesthesiologist assistants to be licensed under the physician assistant licensure law.

Mississippi HB1481 removes the prohibition on licensing anesthesiologist assistants under the physician assistant licensure law. It allows applicants who have passed the certification examination administered by the National Commission on Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants and met other requirements to be eligible for licensure as a physician assistant. The bill also removes the prohibition on the State Board of Medical Licensure from authorizing physician assistants to administer or monitor certain types of anesthesia.
