Mississippi HB1454 creates the "Buyer Accountability Program" to educate those convicted of procuring prostitution. The program will be established by the Administrative Office of Courts and will include information on the causes of prostitution, its relationship to human trafficking, health and safety risks, and the consequences of convictions. The program will be offered in one or more locations throughout the state. Courts may order participants to attend the program, and participants will be required to pay a $1,000 assessment.
