The bill establishes a Maternal Health Monitoring Pilot Program within the Mississippi State Department of Health. The program aims to offer eligible participants improved maternal health care through remote patient monitoring for maternal hypertension and maternal diabetes. The Department of Health will select one or more participating managed care organizations and a technology vendor to administer the pilot program. The program will be operational in as many counties as necessary to ensure participation of up to 300 eligible participants and will conclude two years after it is operational.
