The Mississippi Legislative District Project Allocation Program, administered by the Department of Finance and Administration, provides funds for public-purpose projects in legislative districts. Each member of the House of Representatives can designate one or more projects for up to $250,000 annually, while each member of the Senate can designate projects for up to $500,000 annually. Eligible projects include local infrastructure, public safety, workforce development, grants to governmental entities or nonprofits, and environmental conservation.
