Mississippi HB135 amends the Child Care Advisory Council to require its members to be appointed based on recommendations from child care providers throughout the state. The council will consist of twelve members, with no more than four from any one state Supreme Court district. Members will assist and advise the licensing agency on regulations and administration of child care facilities. The council members will be reimbursed for mileage and expenses as authorized by law. The act is set to take effect from July 1, 2026.
