If the evidence leads to the successful recovery of funds, the whistleblower is entitled to fifteen percent of the proceeds, up to a maximum of $250,000. The act also outlines protections for whistleblowers against workplace reprisal or retaliatory action, including remedies for those subjected to such actions.
