Increases the amount of military leave for training for Mississippi state and local government employees.
Mississippi HB1084 amends Section 33-1-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to increase the authorized military leave for training for officers and employees of any department, agency, or institution of the State of Mississippi, or of any county, municipality, or other political subdivision. This leave is granted without loss of pay, time, annual leave, or efficiency rating. The leave is applicable to those ordered to duty for training at encampments, field exercises, maneuvers, outdoor target practice, or other exercises. The leave period can extend beyond the initial thirty days if necessary.
