The bill modifies the dates for deer firearms seasons in Minnesota. It allows the commissioner to set the season for firearms, excluding muzzle-loading firearms, from the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November to December 15. Muzzle-loading firearms can be used from September 1 to December 31. The commissioner can also establish special seasons within designated areas at any time of the year.
