Minnesota SF5072 amends the election of a member's retirement annuity for deferred vested members. It allows members who terminated teaching service before June 30, 2025, to elect a retirement annuity calculated under subdivision 6, paragraph (e), as in effect on July 1, 2025, using a normal retirement age of 65. The member is not required to return to covered service on or after June 30, 2025, to be entitled to elect the retirement annuity.
