This bill removes the deposit limit on the consumer protection restitution account and sets distribution limits. Money recovered by the attorney general in a consumer enforcement action must be deposited into the account. Distributions to eligible consumers are limited to the full identified amount of unpaid consumer enforcement public compensation, up to $50,000, and 50 percent of the identified amount over $50,000, or $50,000, whichever is less.
