The bill amends Minnesota Statutes to expand eligibility for paid blood donation leave to include employees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. Currently, only state employees are eligible for this leave. The leave allows employees to donate blood with full pay, up to three hours in a 12-month period, without affecting their vacation leave, pension, compensatory time, personal vacation days, sick leave, earned overtime accumulation, or seniority.
