Exempts certain transportation workers from the Minnesota Paid Leave Law.

This bill amends the Minnesota Paid Leave Law to exempt certain transportation workers from its coverage. Specifically, it excludes employees of businesses identified in the Standard Industrial Codes (SIC) 4212-01 through 4231-02, which cover Motor Freight Transportation and Warehousing. The commissioner has the authority to adopt rules defining the application of this exemption and establishing criteria for covered employment. Entities excluded under this section may opt in to coverage following a procedure determined by the commissioner.
