Repeals requirement for commissioner approval of certain land acquisitions.
This bill repeals the requirement for the commissioner of natural resources to approve certain land acquisitions. It removes the need for written approval from the commissioner for acquisitions made with appropriations from the trust fund, except for conservation easements held by the Board of Water and Soil Resources. The bill repeals Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 116P.17, effective the day following final enactment.
