This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to allow eggs past their quality assurance date to be donated to charitable food assistance programs. The eggs must be in their original packaging, previously candled and graded, continuously refrigerated, and distributed to consumers within 30 days of the original quality assurance date. The packaging must include a label with the name of the distributing program, a "distribute by" date, and a statement indicating the eggs are donated and not for resale. The bill also includes provisions for the grading and storage of eggs.
