This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to preempt local enforcement of licensed plumbers. It allows certain entities to adopt local regulations for plumbing permits and inspections, but prohibits them from requiring additional licenses, registrations, certifications, examinations, or bonds for plumbers licensed by the commissioner. It also allows unlicensed individuals to connect water softening and filtering equipment to private residence water distribution systems.
