Minnesota SF3256 modifies pharmacy services coverage and payment under MinnesotaCare.
Minnesota SF3256 amends Minnesota Statutes to modify coverage and payment for certain pharmacy services under MinnesotaCare. It requires MinnesotaCare to cover and pay for pharmacy services in compliance with medical assistance requirements. The bill also mandates that the commissioner, and managed care and county-based purchasing plans, reimburse pharmacists for services within both a pharmacist's and physician's scope of practice at a rate no lower than the standard payment rate for physicians. This change is effective January 1, 2026, or upon federal approval, whichever is later.
