Minnesota SF3170 mandates that Tribally licensed residential substance use disorder treatment providers enroll in the substance use disorder demonstration project by January 1, 2028. Programs that fail to meet the requirements by this date will be ineligible for payment for services provided under section 256B.0625. The Department of Human Services must consult with Tribal Nations regarding the participation of nonresidential programs in the demonstration project. The commissioner may recoup any rate enhancements paid to a provider that does not meet the requirements by July 1, 2021.
