Expands use of tracking devices for fleeing motor vehicles in Minnesota.

This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to allow the use of mobile tracking devices on fleeing motor vehicles, exempting such use from existing prohibitions. The term "flee" is defined as in section 609.487, subdivision 1. The change takes effect August 1, 2025, and applies to crimes committed on or after that date.
