Minnesota SF305 allocates $1,250,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027 from the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture. These funds are intended for grants to aid in the start-up, modernization, or expansion of meat, poultry, egg, and milk processing facilities. The grants cannot exceed $200,000 each. Any remaining unencumbered balance at the end of fiscal year 2027 will not cancel until June 30, 2028, and may be used for other purposes under this section.
