Eliminates requirement for state forecast to account for inflation rate.
The bill eliminates the requirement for the state forecast to account for the rate of inflation. It amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 16A.103, to change the forecast parameters and variables. The forecast must now assume the continuation of current laws and estimate revenue and expenditures based on projected economic growth. The commissioner must consult with relevant committees and staff before releasing the forecast.
