Establishes a special license plate for solar pollinator programs and allows agrivoltaic solar sites to be eligible for solar site management.
The bill establishes a special license plate for solar pollinator programs in Minnesota. Owners of passenger automobiles, noncommercial one-ton pickup trucks, motorcycles, or recreational motor vehicles can apply for these plates by paying a fee and contributing to the Board of Water and Soil Resources pollinator account. Additionally, the bill allows solar sites directly integrated with agricultural activities or conservation practices to be eligible for solar site management practices. Owners of such agrivoltaic solar sites must provide a management plan and report for agency feedback.
