Minnesota SF2453 amends the authority of the Independent Use of Force Investigations Unit to include investigating criminal sexual conduct cases involving peace officers and members of the Minnesota National Guard. The unit will investigate such cases regardless of the state of residence or location of the accused or alleged victim, if the incident occurred in Minnesota at a military installation, armory, air base, or facility owned or controlled by the state for military purposes.
