This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to delay the prohibition on certain lead solder in products until January 1, 2028. It prohibits the import, manufacture, sale, or distribution of products containing lead at more than 0.009 percent by total weight or cadmium at more than 0.0075 percent by total weight, with exceptions for products regulated by federal law. Manufacturers of key fobs with internal circuit boards using lead solder must report every six months to the Pollution Control Agency on compliance barriers, progress, and timelines.
