This bill extends the availability of an appropriation for the reconstruction of U.S. Highway 8 in Chisago County until December 31, 2029. The project includes predesign, design, engineering, and reconstruction of the highway from Karmel Avenue in Chisago City to Interstate Highway 35. It may also involve expanding segments of the highway to four lanes, constructing or reconstructing frontage roads and backage roads, and realigning local roads to consolidate, remove, and relocate access onto and off of U.S. Highway 8.
