Modifies training requirements for mandatory reporters of child maltreatment.

Amends Minnesota Statutes to modify training requirements for mandatory reporters of child maltreatment. Local welfare agencies must offer training to mandated reporters, which can be online or in-person. Training must cover legal obligations, consequences of non-reporting, and methods for detecting and reporting suspected maltreatment or abuse. At least half of the training time must focus on identifying signs of maltreatment or abuse. The commissioner must develop trainings with input from professionals with specialized knowledge related to maltreatment.
