Minnesota SF2308 allocates $2,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027 to fund grants for local governments, federally recognized Tribal entities, and state agencies participating in the Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER) system. These grants must be used to purchase or upgrade portable and mobile radios and related equipment that is interoperable with the ARMER system. Each eligible entity can receive only one grant, which requires a minimum 5% match from nonstate funds.
