Increases sentences for repeat violent offenders and mandates consecutive sentences for certain violent crimes.
Requires judges to impose aggravated sentences for individuals convicted of a third violent felony if they have two or more prior convictions for violent crimes and are deemed a danger to public safety. Such offenders are ineligible for probation, parole, discharge, or work release until they serve the full term imposed. Also mandates consecutive sentences for certain violent offenders and requires them to serve the entire announced sentence in custody. Effective August 1, 2025.
