Minnesota SF1326 increases medical assistance payment rates for ambulance services by 5% starting January 1, 2026.
SF1326 amends Minnesota Statutes to increase medical assistance payment rates for ambulance services by 5% effective January 1, 2026. Capitation payments to managed care plans and county-based purchasing plans for ambulance services must reflect this increase. The bill also mandates fuel adjustments for ambulance services when gasoline prices exceed $3 per gallon. Nonemergency ambulance services will not be paid as emergencies, and payments will be made at the Medicare reimbursement rate or the medical assistance payment rate in effect on July 1, 2000, whichever is greater.
