Minnesota SF1318 amends the allowed uses of long-term facilities maintenance revenue to include school safety facility enhancements. This bill modifies Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 123B.595, by adding a new subdivision for school safety facility enhancements. School districts can now include in their facilities plans provisions for enhancing school safety through physical modifications to school facilities. The plan must also address provisions for providing a gender-neutral single-user restroom at each school site.
