Requires supermajority approval to extend peacetime emergency beyond 14 days

Amends Minnesota Statutes to require a three-fifths majority vote of each house of the legislature to extend a peacetime emergency beyond 14 days. A peacetime emergency can be declared by the governor when certain situations endanger life and property. If the governor seeks to extend the emergency beyond 14 days, the legislature must approve it by a three-fifths majority. The bill also mandates that if the governor requests further extension beyond the approved period, a new request must be submitted and approved by the same majority.
