Minnesota SF1064 allocates $8,856,000 from the general fund for the Union Gospel Mission, Inc. to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a community engagement center in Duluth. The center will serve people experiencing homelessness, providing facilities such as a commercial kitchen, warming center space, indoor and outdoor guest areas, health service facilities, classrooms, offices, and laundry and hygiene amenities. This onetime appropriation is available until the project is completed or abandoned, as per Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
