Allows certain retired peace officers to possess firearms in the Capitol complex.
This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to allow certain retired peace officers to possess firearms in the Capitol complex. It modifies the existing law to include retired peace officers who carry pistols as authorized by federal law, in compliance with United States Code, title 18, part I, chapter 44, section 926C, within buildings in the Capitol Area. This change takes effect on August 1, 2025.
