Allows parents to opt their child out of a face covering requirement in schools.
Minnesota HF892 allows parents to opt their child out of a face covering requirement in school buildings or on school grounds. Schools must not require parents to provide reasons or evidence related to their child's health or education status. Additionally, schools must not discipline or treat differently any child whose parent has opted them out of the face covering requirement. This provision is effective the day following final enactment.
