The Minnesota Read Act, also known as the Reading to Ensure Academic Development Act, is amended to cancel appropriations and modify literacy training and materials requirements. The Department of Education must identify at least three professional development programs focusing on literacy by August 15, 2023, and post a list on the department website. The department must also identify at least five literacy curricula and supporting materials that are evidence-based or focused on structured literacy by January 1, 2024, and post a list on the department website.
