The bill amends Minnesota Statutes to allow youth to accumulate bear hunter preference points. These points can be used when they reach the age to hunt bear. The commissioner may limit the number of bear hunters in an area and must reserve one permit for a resident of a Minnesota veterans home. A person selected through a drawing must purchase a license by August 1.
