Increases property tax exclusion for veterans with disabilities in Minnesota.
Minnesota HF684 amends the property tax law to increase the market value exclusion for veterans with disabilities. For veterans with a disability rating of 70 percent or more, the exclusion increases from $150,000 to $165,000. For veterans with a total and permanent disability, the exclusion increases from $300,000 to $330,000. The bill also extends the exclusion to the spouse of a veteran who died due to a service-connected cause while serving honorably in active service, provided the spouse holds the legal or beneficial title to the homestead and permanently resides there.
