The bill regulates the ownership, possession, and sale of semiautomatic military-style assault weapons and large-capacity magazines in Minnesota. It modifies provisions for possessing dangerous weapons in schools, negligently storing firearms, and reporting on firearms discharge by law enforcement. The bill also criminalizes ghost guns and modifies and clarifies the extreme risk protection order law. It includes provisions for anonymous threat reporting systems in schools and appropriates money for various purposes, including mental health grants and school safety.
