Prohibits the use of sonar when fishing for muskellunge or northern pike in certain Minnesota waters.

The bill amends Minnesota Statutes to prohibit the use of sonar when fishing for muskellunge or northern pike in waters identified by the commissioner as waters where muskellunge populations are naturally reproducing and not primarily maintained through stocking. This includes banning live imaging sonar, forward-facing sonar, omnidirectional sonar, drones, and equipment using artificial intelligence or wireless communication to locate fish. The restrictions do not apply to bow fishing.
