Modifies Hermantown local sales tax authorization for Community Recreational Initiative projects.

The bill modifies the Hermantown local sales tax authorization to allow the city to impose a sales and use tax of one-half of one percent for Community Recreational Initiative projects. The tax revenues will fund projects including an addition of a second ice sheet with locker rooms and other facilities at the Hermantown Hockey Arena, construction of the Hermantown-Proctor trail, and improvements to Fichtner Park. The tax is in addition to any other local sales and use tax.
